Honoring All Creatures Great and Small

(A handmade cross marks the sacred burial location)

Today I would like to share a story with you about we can honor the light within all creatures great and small in unique and compassionate ways.

Yesterday, I left my home in the afternoon to meet my friend Jill for an early-bird dinner. As I approached the gate to leave my development I noticed that someone had run over one of the very large and magnificent turtles that live in the pond in my neighborhood and ended its life. It is during encounters such as these that I immediately become hyper aware of the importance of guarding my heart and being in the present moment.

Why is it vital to be aware of this?
Because it is my responsibility remain steadfast and calm.
Because it is my responsibility to remain centered in my heart.
Because it is my responsibility to be a peaceful guardian of my energy.
Because I AM here to be the light.

Remembering is important. The simple act of remembering to be responsible with my energy keeps me in balance. It also allows me to be a beacon of light in the world during times of chaos, fear, upheaval, and unconscious acts by others that may result in the ending of the life of another soul or creature. Instead of closing down my light with sadness, fear, or anger regarding any experience I may encounter on my journey being a Peaceful Guardian simply allows me to guard my heart and my energy field which in turn allows me to remain peaceful and centered on my vision and mission to be the light and illuminate the pathway for other souls to discover their brilliance too. Remaining in my center allows me to receive Divine Wisdom regarding how to move through any event or experience presented before me with wisdom and grace instead of anger or fear.

Here's the gift we receive when we become a Peaceful Guardian. Within moments of encountering the turtle I became acutely aware of everything around me. It was immediately flowed into my being that I was to honor this amazing creature in my own special way. And within a few moments I knew exactly how I was going to do it.

I said to the turtle, "I am heading to dinner. When I return I will come back and get you and honor your purpose for being. I will create a sacred space for you and bury you in my Faerie garden at my house."

I continued, "I will return. You have my promise."

I headed out of my development and proceeded to drive down the road. A short while later, I felt a wave of frustration and anger come bubbling up to the surface regarding the ending of this turtle's life after being struck by a car.

I allowed the anger to not spiral me down, instead, I allowed it to be an immediate illumination for me to remember it is my responsibility to guard my heart and return to my center where the light in me resides and all the answers and wisdom do too. So I flowed myself love, first. I flowed love to the turtle second. I flowed love to the person(s) who ended his life.

Three hours later, when I returned from dinner, I entered my development. I did what I promised. And with a plastic bag in hand I gently placed this magical creature, the turtle, into the bag.

Did you know symbolically the turtle is a divine reminder to help us to remember to connect with heaven and earth?

When I returned home, I placed the turtle outside by my back door. I told him one more thing.

I said, "Tomorrow at dawn I will bury you in my Faerie garden beside my statue of St. Francis and I will honor your purpose for being."

(St. Francis in the Faerie garden)

(Two sacred symbols mark the sacred site)

And so, this morning, that is what I did.
I dug a special location for the turtle.
I created a natural cross from the plant material located nearby.
I said a sacred prayer as I placed him in his resting spot.
And then, with a piece of chalk, I returned to the spot where his life was ended and I drew a large heart in the road around the location where he was found.

Why?
Because love lights the way.
Because love conquers all.
Because the heart is a sacred geometry symbol that heals and transmutes all things to light.

HERE IS A SIMPLE TIP ON HOW YOU CAN HONOR THE ANIMALS YOU MAY FIND ALONG THE ROADWAY

When you pass by an animal that has had his life ended by the side of the road or highway instead of being angry or sad do these simple steps to remain in your JoY and transmute the experience to light:

1 Ignite your heart.
2. Ask the Angelic Realm to connect the spark of light that was contained in the body of the animal to the light.
3. Ask the Faerie Realm to transmute its body to light.
4. Say the Ho'Oponopono Prayer (I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.) - This prayer transmutes the experience to light and helps us to forgive ourselves or the other soul(s) involved in the experience.
5. And if it feels right to you and the opportunity presents itself, perhaps create a sacred burial for the creature.
6. Let love always light your way.

An Angel Named Violet

(An Angel named Violet awaits transport in the Costco parking lot)

Hello Everyone!

Today I would like to share a story with you about following your heart which allows magic and synchronicity to flow into your life.

This story actually began two summers ago during the culmination of one of the retreats I hold each year at the Shalom Hill Farm Retreat Center in Windom, Minnesota.  The amazing souls that attended the retreat that year came up with a heavenly idea. The group wanted to donate an Angel statue to the Shalom Hill Farm Retreat Center to create a sacred space in a designated area on the property that we could design as a type of sanctuary to help other souls find solace and/or help them remember that Angels do surround us and we are adored by the heavens.

That summer, after attaining permission from the retreat center regarding our vision of gifting an Angel statue and creating a sacred space on the farm, I began searching for the perfect Angel online. The statues I found at the time cost $400 and up. All of the statues were beautiful, but none of the Angels felt right for some reason. Some of the statues were too large and other statues were too small. When my search started getting difficult and I wasn't having fun during the process that's when I knew it wasn't divine time yet and I stopped. I knew that something would flow in when the time was right. So I surrendered. I let it go, and I unattached from trying to figure out the outcome. I had faith that the perfect opportunity would flow in front of me when it was the divine right time.

The Divine Time Arrives

Today, the divine time arrived!

Let me explain what this looks like.

My sister Carolyn and I were talking on the phone. During this conversation she referenced an Angel statue she found in a little boutique shop one year prior. When she mentioned the words "Angel" and "statue" during our conversation I immediately felt a lightning bolt of energy travel through my being which triggered a memory of a beautiful Angel statue I came across one month earlier at the Costco store by my home. It was on that past trip through the store that I had discovered a beautiful Angel in the holiday section right after the holiday displays were set up for the season.

As the conversation with my sister began to wrap up on the telephone the light bulb went off in my head! "The Angel at Costco would be perfect for our donation to Shalom Hill Farm Center!"

My sister and I finished our phone call and I immediately called the Costco store closest to me here in Florida to find out if they still had the Angel statue in stock.

The phone rang and a woman employee answered. I told the woman on the phone what I was searching for and was promptly transferred to another department. A man came on the line. I told him what I was looking for.

He promptly replied, "We have one left. It's not in a box. It's the floor model."

I said, "That's all I needed to know. Thank you."

I hung up the phone. I got in my car. I headed to the Costco store.

When I arrived at the store I headed to the seasonal section designated for the holidays and found the Angel immediately. It was right next to the Christmas wrapping paper. She was a true beauty, and standing almost 4 feet tall!

(One Angel remains on the shelf)

I took the card displaying the price and the barcode so the cashier would have the information to ring up my purchase at the register. The only thing I needed then was to find a flatbed cart to transport the Angel. I also needed to stock up on toilet paper. The thought popped in, "Go and get the toilet paper first and then head to the register." So that's what I did. With pricing card in hand I headed to the rear of the store.

I arrived at the paper products section at the back of the store a few moments later. I immediately noticed an employee stocking the toilet paper. I approached the man with a smile.

I said, "Hi there, do you have a moment to answer a question for me?"

He stopped what he was doing and said, "Sure".

I jokingly said, "Now that you've agreed can I ask you a question about life in general, or does it have to pertain to something regarding a product in this store?"

We both started laughing.

I said, "Okay, just kidding. My question is I have this card here for the last Angel statue you have in stock in this store and it's not in a box or anything. Should I just bring the card to the register for the cashier to ring it up or should I have an employee bring the Angel up to the front of the store first?"

He asks to see the card and then starts writing on it without saying anything.

As he is writing I notice his name tag. This totally cool guy stocking the toilet paper just happens to be the Assistant General Manager of the Costco store!

He smiles and hands me back the card with the bar code to give to the cashier.

He then stated, "Just bring the card to the register and ask a supervisor to bring the Angel up to the front and you'll be all set."

I said, "Thanks for your help brother. Have an awesome day!"

I walked away and headed to the register. On my way I looked down and noticed that he reduced the price on the card from $79.99 to $60.00 and signed his initials!

(The Angel discount is applied - AwEsOmE!)

Now that is totally AwEsOmE! Of all the people to encounter in the store I found an Assistant General Manager Angel!! What an amazing employee to have as part of your company! Life is beautiful and people are AmAzInG!

Did you know that acquiring Angels can be contagious?

After the posting of my story regarding the Costco Angel I began to hear from other souls creating magical experiences with their beautiful Angel statue from Costco!

THE ALABAMA ANGEL:
My friend Debra says, "About six weeks ago my husband and I were at Costco in Montgomery, AL which is 100 miles from where we live in south Alabama. We saw her, stopped and discussed purchasing her, but decided not to. About an hour after we got home, I just had to have her. So, I called Costco, paid over the phone to purchase and and have her delivered to us. How magical that Molly saw the same angel at Costco in FL and now she will also grace a special place in Minnesota at Shalom Hill Farm Retreat Center. We are all connected in various, mysterious and serendipitous ways :-) Namaste my friends."

(Debra's Angel has a new home in Alabama)

DIFFERENT STATE...DIFFERENT STORY - FLORIDA:
My friend Donna says, "I was going to go to the Costco in Ft. Myers to pick up my Angel in the store myself, but the Angels were watching over me! My next door neighbor happened to be on his way from Miami, made a left turn into Costco and brought her back for me!" Donna continued. "Five of my neighbors were outside at the time she arrived and helped me unpack her and setting her up. I named her Angelina. That was my grandmother's name. Perhaps I'll nickname her Angie!"

(Donna's Angel resides in Florida)

The moral of the story spread goodness and light in the world, have fun and you can create magical experiences any place and at any time with anyone and everyone! And don't forget, surrender when something starts to feel difficult because that gives you a big clue that its not the Divine Time or you are trying to "force" something. When we surrender to the light and become a vibrational match to that which we desire, we allow ourselves to stay in the flow. This way the Universe can work behind the scenes to line up all the people or events necessary to fulfill or manifest our wish of goodness! Now that my friends is simple and AwEsOmE!

Wherever I wander I shall leave light there. My faith is that you have come to this earth to do the same.
